David Harlock

David A. Harlock ( born March 16, 1971 in Toronto, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional ice hockey player who in his playing days from 1989 to 2003 among others for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals, New York Islanders and Atlanta Thrashers in the National Hockey League played.

Career

David Harlock began his career as a hockey player at the University of Michigan, which he attended from 1989 to 1993, while for the ice hockey team, he played in parallel in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association. During this period he was in the second round than a total of 24 players selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1990 by the New Jersey Devils, for which, however, he never played. Instead, the defender from 1993 to 1996 ran on for the Toronto Maple Leafs in the National Hockey League, where, however, he could never take himself completely. However, the majority of his time in the franchise he spent in Toronto's farm team in St. John's Maple Leafs of the American Hockey League. In the season 1996/97 he stood for the San Antonio Dragons in the International Hockey League on the ice. For the following season, he was obliged by the Washington Capitals, for which he, however, denied only six games in the NHL. He spent the entire rest of the season with their AHL farm team Portland Pirates.

In the 1998/99 season played Harlock for the New York Islanders, for whom he scored two goals and six assists in his first full NHL season in 70 games. In the NHL Expansion Draft 1999, he was selected by the Atlanta Thrashers newly established. For the Thrashers, he was in his first two years also a regular player before he had to play in parallel for Atlanta's AHL farm team Chicago Wolves in the 2001/ 02 season. In March 2002 he was discharged from Atlanta to the Philadelphia Flyers, played in the following year and a quarter but only for their AHL farm team Philadelphia Phantoms.

Internationally

For Canada took Harlock at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer part where he won the silver medal with his team.
