David Pizarro

David Pizarro, David Marcelo Pizarro Cortés actually, ( born September 11, 1979 in Valparaiso ) is a Chilean footballer, who is currently under contract at Fiorentina.

He began his career in 1997 in his hometown at the Club de Deportes Santiago Wanderers. In 1999 he moved to Italy in the Serie A for Udinese Calcio. After he won with Chile in 1999, the South American U-20 Championship, he played in the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, where she won the bronze medal with the team. He is now a regular player in the Chilean national team. With his change in summer 2005 from Udinese Calcio Inter Milan he was the second player after Chilean Ivan Zamorano during Milan's traditional club.

Pizarro changed on 19 August 2006 championship rivals AS Roma and to his " favorite" coach Luciano Spalletti.

On January 31, 2012 Manchester City announced that Pizarro would be borrowed until season's end. After the end of his loan agreement, he joined the 2012/13 season for Fiorentina.
