Dawid Kubacki
Dawid Kubacki (born 12 March 1990 in Nowy Targ ) is a Polish ski jumper. His biggest international success is the bronze medal with the Polish team at the World Championship in 2013 in Val di Fiemme.
Career
Kubacki jumping since he was six years ski, his international career began in 2004 when FIS jumping in his home Zakopane. He initially achieved only mediocre results. At the Junior World Cup in 2006 in Kranj he reached in the individual competition and the 42 with the team to 7th place. After the Junior World Championships, he started in the FIS Cup. On 18 March 2007 he made his debut in the FIS Ski Jumping Continental Cup and already jumped in his first competition at the 26th place in the points. Despite this performance, he was then only irregularly for Continental Cup squad and jumped priority in the FIS Cup. It was not until September 2008, he was firmly in the squad in the Continental Cup. At the Junior World Championship 2009 in Štrbské Pleso he reached the 33rd place in the individual competition. Shortly before, he had made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on 16 January 2009 and reached here in Zakopane 49th. In January 2010 he started again in Sapporo in the World Cup and missed with the 32nd and the 33rd place points finish just barely. At the Junior World Championship 2010 in Hinterzarten he jumped with the team on the 5th Place and in the individual at the 31st place. In Ski Jumping Grand Prix 2010 in Hinterzarten, he won not only the qualifications but catapulted himself and his team in the first place. Also in Courchevel, Einsiedeln and Wisła he always jumped into the top ten and won in Hakuba in the individual competition on 28 and 29 August 2010 and the first Grand Prix podium.
On 1 December 2012, he reached the World Cup competition in Kuusamo than 22 his first nine World Cup points.
In the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013, he won with his teammates Piotr Żyła, Maciej Kot and Kamil Stoch behind Austria and Germany the bronze medal in the team competition and thus the first Polish team medal in ski jumping at the World Cup.
On September 1, 2013, Dawid Kubacki secured on the normal hill in Szczyrk first time the Polish league titles.
