Delavan is a city ( with a status of "City" ) in Walworth County in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010 Delavan had 8463 inhabitants.
Geography
Delavan is located in southeastern Wisconsin between the Delavan Lake and Turtle Creek, which heard about the Rock River to the basin of the Mississippi.
The geographic coordinates of Delavan are 42 ° 37'59 " north latitude and 88 ° 38'37 " west longitude. The city covers an area of 18.70 km ², spread over 17.51 km ² land and 1.19 km ² water surface. Traffic
Interstate 43 leads in northeast-southwest direction past on their way from Milwaukee to Rockford at the center of Delavan. In the center of Delavan Wisconsin State Routes 11 and 50 meet together. All other roads are minor roads, some unpaved roadways and within local roads.
Through the city runs a range of Wisconsin and Southern Railroad ( WSOR ), which runs from the Mississippi River on Madison to Milwaukee for freight traffic.
