Deportivo Táchira

Deportivo Táchira Fútbol Club is established in 1974, Venezuelan football club.

History

In 1974 the Italian Gaetano Greco founded the club and renamed it Deportivo San Cristobal. In 1978 the club its present name and called himself Deportivo Táchira Fútbol Club. After that, the club moved two more times the name: In 1986 the name was changed to Unión Atlético Táchira and 1999, the club was given its name Deportivo Táchira Fútbol Club.

The stadium

The club plays its home games at the Estadio Poli Deportivo de Pueblo Nuevo in from San Cristobal, which offers 42,500 spectators. The stadium was inaugurated on 11 January 1976 with a match against Deportivo Cali.
