Derk Boerrigter

Derk Boerrigter ( born October 16, 1986 in Oldenzaal ) is a Dutch football player. Since the 2013/14 season he stands at Celtic Glasgow under contract.

Career

Boerrigter began as a five-year Titch at Quick'20 in his home town of Oldenzaal playing football. At twelve, he moved to the youth department of FC Twente. As a 18- year-old he signed a two -year contract with AFC Ajax in Amsterdam. This is where the Left Wing was used in the second team Jong Ajax. In January 2007 he was loaned out for the rest of the season in the second division club HFC Haarlem, where he his first appearance in professional football completed on February 2, 2007, when the 1-1 draw with AGOVV Apeldoorn in the 70th minute he for Marvin Wijks came on.

For the season 2007/ 08 Boerrigter moved to second division rivals FC Zwolle, where he continued to develop as a scorer in his first season as a rigger and in his second season. The RKC Waalwijk noticed him and took him to the rise in 2009 to North Brabant. Despite Boerrigters seven goals in 31 games the RKC had to go back directly into the Eerste divisie end of the season. In the following season 2010/ 11, however, he was with 18 goals in 33 games ( as the second- leading scorer behind Donny de Groot ) one of the guarantees for the championship and the rise of Waalwijker. For the season 2011/12 Ajax brought him back to Amsterdam, where with three goals he gave a convincing debut in the first five league games of the season. In the Champions League he made his debut on 14 September in a 0-0 draw in the first group match against Olympique Lyon. The capital club Boerrigter won twice as a result of the Dutch championship. In July 2013 he signed a four year contract with Celtic.
