Devante Smith-Pelly

Devante Smith - Pelly ( born June 14, 1992 Scarborough, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since December 2010 for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League contract.

Career

Devante Smith - Pelly played first from 2007 to 2008 for the Toronto Jr. Canadiens in the Greater Toronto Hockey League, before the striker in the OHL Priority Selection 2008 in the first round as the eighth overall by the Mississauga St. Michael's Majors was selected. In his rookie season with the team in the 2008 /09 season the Canadians completed 68 games and scored 30 points. In his second season, Smith - Pelly achieved the final breakthrough in the OHL, and he improved his offensive statistics clearly when he reached as many points in 76 games. He was so common with Casey Cizikas best scorer of the team. In the course of the season Smith - Pelly took part in the OHL All-Star Game and was in the squad of Team Cherry for the CHL Top Prospects Game.

NHL Entry Draft 2010 he was selected in the second round 42nd position of the Anaheim Ducks. For Californians, he signed a three-year entry-level contract in December 2010. During the 2010/11 season was the offensive player instrumental in that the majors for the first time the final series to the J. Ross Robertson Cup and reached only in the decisive seventh meeting of the Owen Sound Attack documents. Smith - Pelly took in 2009 with the selection of Canada Ontario at the World U -17 Hockey Challenge in part. In six games, he scored three points and won the gold medal. Despite his commitment to the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League with the start of the 2011/12 season the franchise for the Under-20 Junior World Championship 2012 set him free. There, Smith - Pelly was next to Brett Connolly is the only NHL players on the Canadian squad. In the first tournament game against Finland Smith - Pelly suffered while blocking a shot a bone fracture in the foot.
