Doo - Wops & Hooligans is the debut album by American singer Bruno Mars. The album was released on 4 October 2010 of its labels Atlantic and Elektra.

Background and Development

The album Doo - Wops & Hooligans was announced in a press release on 25 August 2010, shortly after the release of the debut EP It's Better If You Do not Understand, which was released in May 2010. In an interview with MTV News, Mars explained that his EP has a positive effect on the album. The album cover to Doo - Wops & Hooligans was presented on 30 August 2010 on the website of Bruno Mars. The track list to Doo - Wops & Hooligans was released from the label Atlantic Records on September 9, 2010. Three of the four songs from the EP It's Better If You Do not Understand were taken on the debut album Doo - Wops & Hooligans.

Mars said about the album that he was a big fan of music genres Doo Wop, since he grew up with the genre and it was something special for him.

From November 16, 2010 until April 15, 2011 Bruno Mars went on to The Doo Wops & Hooligans tour - where he presented his eponymous debut album. The tour led by the United States, Europe and Asia.
