Doug Mountjoy

Doug Mountjoy ( born June 8, 1942 in Glamorgan ) is a retired Welsh snooker player.

With 34 years he was a professional player in 1977 and won the prestigious Masters. In 1978, he won the second UK Championship, but was not yet a ranking tournament. In the previous year he had failed in the final.

After Mountjoy in 1979 and 1980 with Wales the Nations Cup won, he fell ill, so his face was partially paralyzed.
