1977 Masters (snooker)

The Benson & Hedges Masters in 1977 was a snooker invitation tournament of the 1976/77 season, which was held in London from 7th to February 11th, 1977 at the New London Theatre. It was the third edition of the Masters.

Defending champion Ray Reardon reached, as in the first two editions of the tournament, the finals. There, however, he lost to Doug Mountjoy 6:7. For Doug Mountjoy, who turned pro a few months ago, it was the first major professional tournament.

The finale is still the only Masters final between two Welshmen.
