1988 Masters (snooker)

The Benson & Hedges Masters in 1988 was a snooker invitation tournament of the season 1987/88, which was held in London from 24 to 31 January 1988 at the Wembley Conference Centre. It was the 14th edition of the Masters.

Mike Hallett reached at his first Masters - participation the finals, beating, among others, in the second round defending champion Dennis Taylor. However, the final lost against Steve Davis Hallett with 0:9. To date it is the only final of the Masters, which ran to zero. It was also the first final between two Englishmen. Steve Davis won the Masters for the second time.
