1982 Masters (snooker)

The Benson & Hedges Masters in 1982 was a snooker invitation tournament of the season 1981/82, which was held in London from 26 to 31 January 1982 at the Wembley Conference Centre. It was the eighth edition of the Masters.

Steve Davis won the tournament by a 9-6 final win against Terry Griffiths. While Davis only took part for the second time at the Masters, was Griffiths, who defeated in the semi-final defending champion Alex Higgins, for the third consecutive time in the final of the Masters. With Steve Davis won seven years after John Spencer for the first time an Englishman the Masters. Tony Meo was playing in his quarter-final against Cliff Thorburn the highest with 136 points break of the tournament.
