1996 Masters (snooker)

The Benson & Hedges Masters in 1996 was a snooker invitation tournament of the 1995/96 season, which was held in London from 4 to 11 February 1996 Wembley Conference Centre. It was the 22nd edition of the Masters.

Matthew Stevens won the qualifying tournament for the Masters, the Benson & Hedges Championship. In the wild card round of the Welsh defeated his compatriot Terry Griffiths 5-3. In the second match of the Wildcard round David Roe lost to Andy Hicks with 2:5. Hicks lost only in the semi-final against Ronnie O'Sullivan, Stevens, however, already in the second round against Alan McManus.

Stephen Hendry won the final against defending champion O'Sullivan with 10:5. It was his sixth Masters title.
