2007 Masters (snooker)

The SAGA Insurance Masters took place in 2007, from 14 to 21 January at Wembley Arena in London.

In contrast to the previous year were invited 19 players instead of 18. The top 13 of the snooker world rankings were set in the second round. The numbers 14-16 of the rankings played against the winner of the qualifying tournament, Stuart Bingham, as well as against the two invited by the organizer player Jimmy White and Ding Junhui are the last three knockout places. In this first round, Ding Junhui managed a maximum break and has since been the youngest player, the perfect frame succeeded live on television.

In the further course of the tournament Ding Junhui even reached the final, but it lost to Ronnie O'Sullivan quite clearly with 3:10. For O'Sullivan it was the third victory at the Masters.
