1983 Masters (snooker)

The Benson & Hedges Masters in 1983 was a snooker invitation tournament of the season 1982/83, which was held in London from 23 to 30 January 1983 Wembley Conference Centre. It was the ninth edition of the Masters.

1983 took a record 16 players participated in the tournament. Cliff Thorburn was. Was the first and to date only Canadian winner of the Masters after defeating in the final Ray Reardon 9:6 Defending champion Steve Davis failed already in the quarterfinals to Doug Mountjoy.
