Criticism

After the first two albums Ensiferum and Iron were highly praised by the press, Dragonheads was predominantly neutral to very bad reviews. This was mainly dar. in mind that only the title song Dragonheads has been rewritten by the six songs, the other songs represent only admissions former demo songs and Covers

The criticism on the website vampster.com is still kept quite neutral:

" Those who already calls his own all the works, can save his money safely for the next album - this EP is only interesting for newcomers who for some reason neither" Ensiferum "nor" Iron " get their hands on. "

One of the worst reviews came from metal1.info - The EP is rated 0 out of 10 points:

"Overall, the" Dragon Heads " a big disappointment. While I sat at the first hearing of " Ensiferum " and "Iron" with his mouth open in front of the system and could not get enough of the music, this is just an absolutely weak EP. [ ... ]. I want to hope that the songwriting is now not stay on "Dragon Heads " level, but grows up to the upcoming album that you can connect to almost all the same old heroics again. If not, I see black for a band that has rightly built up a large fan base and has released just two great albums. "

Metal.de gave Dragonheads only 6 out of 10 points:

" The shot is gone off for Ensiferum ratios quite backward. "Dragon Heads " is indeed surely serve as a kind of appetizer for the next studio album and the soon to be released 10-year - DVD, but now I 'm more concerned that because the new album can really connect to the old heroics. What a pity! "
