Dudelange

Dudelange ( Luxembourgish Diddeleng, French Dudelange) is a city and a municipality in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. It belongs to the canton of Esch -sur-Alzette and is equipped with 19 292 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013) near the town of Esch -sur-Alzette, the most important industrial center of the country.

Geographical Location

Dudelange is situated on the border with France, about halfway between the city of Luxembourg and the Lorraine Thionville. The neighboring French towns are Zoufftgen and Volmerange- les -Mines.

In Dudelange the football club is home to F91 Dudelange, Luxembourg champion who was ten times since 2000 (as of 2013). It carries out its home games in Jos Nosbaum Stadium. The Tower of Dudelange

Near the city is the 285 m high radio tower Dudelange for FM and TV, which is designed as a free-standing lattice tower. On July 31, 1981 this radio tower was hit by RTL of a Belgian military plane approximately in the middle and then broke together.
