Ebersbach, Meissen

Ebersbach is a municipality in the district of Meißen in Saxony. It is one of the largest surface area municipalities of the district.

Geography and transport

The municipality is located in the Großenhainer care. Large parts of the nature reserve Mean Röderaue and Kienheide lying on the territory of the municipality. The neighboring cities are the City of Great Hain ( 10 km), Radeburg (5 km) and Meissen (15 km). The A13 runs to the east of the community and can be reached via the Radeburg connection. The Great Röder flows through the districts Rödern, Freitelsdorf, Cunnersdorf, Bieberach and Kalkreuth.

Ebersbach is entirely surrounded by towns and villages of the district of Meißen. These are Lampertswalde in the north, Schönfeld and - with one point of contact - Thien village in the northeast, Tauscha in the east, in the southeast Radeburg, Moritzburg in the south, Niederau in the southwest, Priestewitz in the West and Great Park in the Northwest.

History

Kalkreuth was first documented in the early 13th century.

On September 1, 1961, the municipality of Ebersbach was formed by the merger of the predecessor municipalities Lower Ebersbach and upper and middle hepatic Bach. On 1 January 1994 several formerly independent places were incorporated. On 1 January 1998 Naunhof was incorporated. On 1 January 1999 was followed by Beiersdorf and Reinersdorf.
