ElringKlinger
ElringKlinger AG is a German corporation headquartered in Baden-Württemberg Dettingen an der Erin's, who has worked as an automotive supplier. The Group consists of 32 subsidiaries, two joint ventures with four companies and an investment company that are located worldwide.
ElringKlinger developed and produced for almost all automobile manufacturers cylinder-head and specialty gaskets, plastic housing modules and shielding parts for engine, transmission, exhaust system and underbody; the company is also the world leader in the cylinder head gaskets segment.
History
In 1879, Paul Lechler in Stuttgart founded a trading company for seals and technical products. The company began to produce himself from 1914 seals. In the years 1964 and 1965 the registered office was shifted to Dettingen an der Erms. Richard Klinger founded in the year 1885 in Vienna a construction workshop and produced from 1930 also cylinder head gaskets.
From 1971, the company began its internationalization through a first participation in Spain. The following year, the production facilities were established in Bietigheim and Langenzenn.
In 1994, originated from the automotive sector of Richard Klinger GmbH and Elring GmbH ElringKlinger GmbH, headquartered in Dettingen. On 30 October 2000, the ElringKlinger GmbH merged with the parent company ZWL land -und Beteiligungs -AG was called the ElringKlinger AG. ElringKlinger AG is listed on the stock exchange in Frankfurt and Stuttgart since 21 January 2002. On 13 November 2003 ElringKlinger was included in the SDAX and rose on March 4, 2009 in the MDAX.
To 27 October 2009 ElringKlinger acquired established in the Turkish city of Bursa automotive Ompaş to enter the Turkish market.
On May 11, 2011, the acquisition of the Switzerland-based group followed specialist Hug exhaust.
As of September 12, 2011, ElringKlinger AG acquired 90 percent of the mold and tool manufacturer Hummel forms of Lenningen.
On January 3, 2012 ElringKlinger bought the metal casing manufacturer ThaWa GmbH, located in Thale, Saxony- Anhalt.
