Engers–Au railway

The railway line from Engers Au (Sieg) is a single-track, non-electrified branch line and consists of three sections, which are treated separately in this article.

Brexbachtalbahn Engers - Siershahn

The Brexbachtalbahn is a railway line in the Westerwald along the Brexbaches. It combines the right Rhine river route with the lower Westerwaldbahn and runs from Neuwied - Engers about Bendorf, BTA and Ransbach- Baumbach to Siershahn.

On 31 May 1884, the line was opened after twelve years of planning and construction phase. To route length of 21.6 km was a spur line to Hatton of Hausen of good 2 km, and in 1909 again extended by 4 km to Hillscheid. As part of a celebration for the 125th anniversary of the Brexbachtalbahn on 30 May 2009 and on the following Pentecost, the section was taken with commuting a steam train for the tourist traffic into operation after Transport Minister Hendrik Hering had cut through the red and white ribbon for the reopening. Wood Creek Switchback Siershahn - old churches

The railway line Siershahn - old churches is also called Wood Creek Valley Railway. It was used from 1887 until June 2, 1984, in passenger transport.
