Eric Wohlberg

Eric Wohlberg ( born January 8, 1965 in Oakville, Ontario ) is a retired Canadian professional racing cyclist.

Career

Eric Wohlberg began his career in 1996 at the U.S. Cycling Team Shaklee. His first successes came in 1997 at the time trial of the Tour de Langkawi. In 1999 he won a stage of the Tour de Langkawi itself again. He also won for the first time at the national time trial championship. He was from 1999 to 2003 five consecutive Canadian time trial champion. In 2000, he won the Tour de Hokkaido for the first time an overall rating. In 2001 he moved to Saturn Cycling Team and in 2004 he won for Sierra Nevada Cycling the Tour of Wellington. Since 2005 Wohlberg riding for the Canadian Continental team Symmetrics.

In 2004, Wohlberg at the time trial at the Summer Olympic Games in Athens in part, finishing in 18th place. He also started in the road race, but did not finish.
