Eversmeer

Eversmeer is since 1972 a part of the integrated municipality in the district Holtriem County Witt mouth, Ostfriesland. The village is in the range of a formerly much larger zentralostfriesischen marshland, of which only rest areas are available today. To the territory of the village Eversmeer therefore part of the high bog area in which the eternal sea, Germany's largest Hochmoorsee lies. The area is since 1939 a nature reserve.

Parish council

The Council of the Municipality Eversmeer consists of 9 women council and councilors. This is the set number for the member community of integrated municipality with a population of 501-1000 people. The 9 Women Council and councilors are elected by a municipal election for five years. The current term of office began on 1 November 2011.

The council chose the alderman Egon Kunze (WG ) for honorary mayor for the current parliamentary term.

The last local elections took place on September 11, 2011. Elected Council members all belong to the group of voters Eversmeer to.

The turnout in the local elections of 2011 was 46.95 %, well below the Lower Saxony average of 52.5 %. For comparison - in the previous local elections on 10 September 2006, the turnout was 53.69 %.
