Failure to Launch (Original Title: Failure to Launch ) is a romantic comedy from director Tom Dey from 2006 starring Matthew McConaughey and Sarah Jessica Parker in the lead roles.

Action

The Bachelor Tripp is 35 years old, boat brokers and still lives with his parents Sue and Al. At long-term bonds with women, he is not interested. The last resort in order to quickly get rid of girlfriends, the ladies' man sees that he invites them to his home. At the latest after the women want nothing more to do with the altricial.

His parents have their lodger long since tired, they want to live their own lives and therefore an attractive Paula committed to helping them to move Tripp to move out of the parental home. James Berardinelli wrote on ReelViews, the film was neither romantic nor managed as a comedy. The film can not make it to arouse the interest of the viewer to the main characters and make the relationship believable.

Roger Ebert described the characters in the Chicago Sun - Times (10 March 2006 ) as ' stupid ' ( ' stupid '). He wrote a dolphin would McConaughey and Parker steal the show. He also criticized the cut of the film.
