Falling Deeper is a compilation of the British band Anathema. She appeared in 2011 at Kscope.
Creation and publication
After We're Here Because We're Here, the first regular studio album in seven years, Anathema toured extensively in Europe. Subsequently, the band wanted to go back with further new recordings of older pieces to the success of Hindsight. Falling Deeper was arranged and recorded Giersbergen as a guest singer with the London Session Orchestra and Anneke van by David L. Stewart. Andrea Wright mixed from the compilation, Jon Astley they mastered. In addition to the CD version, a limited LP edition was published.

The new recordings on Falling Deeper are some semi- acoustic and orchestral versions of some. The pieces, the originals of which are from the first four releases of the band were heavily rearranged. Next to the small orchestra and piano the traditional rock instruments are used discreetly. Vincent Cavanagh, Lee Douglas and Anneke van Giersbergen singing a few passages. The album is mostly very quiet, melodic and atmospheric.

"Unlike anathemas first self- cover album ' Hindsight ' it is not quite managed to convey the songs in the same or even better quality in their new sound. The melodies and harmonies are ambitious, but ultimately makes such a thing as insignificance wide. It lacks the intensity that helped last too much attention in the music scene of the band. "
