Style

Anathema are rooted on their third release overall still in Death Doom, but also have similarities to the developing during this period Gothic Metal on. There you will find slow, atmospheric passages with elegiac guitars and more clean vocals, but also faster, more aggressive passages with heavy riffs and guttural vocals. The mood is melancholic and gloomy.

Reception

" ANATHEMA put on their third output line consistently proven their continued, but the necessary further development can not miss. Especially in the vocal range, the British were up neatly [ ... ]. [ F] or friends life sad doom metal sounds certainly a godsend. "
