Fårösund

Fårösund is a place ( tätort ) on the Swedish island of Gotland in the province of Gotland County and the historical province of Gotland.

The village in the municipality of Gotland is located at the northern end of the island of the same name Sund. On the opposite side of the island is Fårö. After Fårö is from here a free ferry.

From 1 July 1937 to 31 October 2000 was kustartilleriregemente in Fårösund Gotland, KA 3, a coast artillery regiment of the Swedish Navy stationed.
