FINA World Open Water Swimming Championships
The open water world championships were from the International Swimming Federation FINA discharged 2000-2010 biennial global competitions in open water swimming.
Competitions in open water swimming have been used for the 1991 instead of as part of the World Swimming Championships. In the years 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008 and 2010, these competitions were given with the open water world championships, an additional independent framework.
There are individual competitions for women and men over the distances 5, 10 and 25 kilometers.
The official name of the Open Water World Championships FINA World Open Water Swimming is Championships.
