Football Association of Iceland

The Knattspyrnusamband Íslands ( KSI ) is the Icelandic Football Association. He is based in Reykjavík.

The KSI is responsible for the organization of football in Iceland and is thus responsible among other things for the Icelandic national football team. He is also the host of the professional leagues Pepsideild ( men) and Pepsideild kvenna ( women ) and the Cup competition Bikar Karla.

The Football Association of Iceland was founded on 26 March 1947 and was in the same year of FIFA. 1954 was followed by the accession to the UEFA.
