Footballer of the Year – Israel
The title of Player of the Year by Israel is awarded annually since 1965 by the Israeli newspaper Maariv the end of the football year. In the years 1966 and 1991 there were two champions. Record winners with four titles 1966-1971 Mordechai Spiegler, who is regarded as the best player of the Israeli football history. The Croats Djovani Roso, also known as Giovanni Rosso, the footballer of the year, 1999 and 2002, the Brazilian Gustavo Boccoli (2007 ) and the Nigerian Vincent Enyeama (2009) were previously honored two foreign players.
