Frankfort

Frankfort is the old English spelling of Frankfurt and corresponds to the pronunciation of the name of Frankfurt in the dialect of the city of Frankfurt am Main. The notation is also - in addition to Frankford - consistently in the dialect literature of the South Hessian dialects (eg Friedrich Stoltze ).
