Frederick Holman (swimmer)

Frederick Holman (* March 1885 in Dawlish, † January 23, 1913 in Exeter ) was a British swimmer.

He won the gold medal at the 1908 Olympic Games in London over 200 m breaststroke. At the same time he put in 3:09.2 minutes for a new world record. 1913 Holman died at the age of 29 years on typhoid fever, he had caught in the swimming pools of Exeter the infectious disease. In 1988, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
