Bob Skelton (swimmer)
Robert Skelton ( born June 25, 1903 in Wilmette, Illinois, † June 25, 1977 in Houston, Texas ) was an American swimmer.
At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he became Olympic champion in the 200 m breaststroke. His winning time was 2:56,6 minutes. Skelton swam for the same club swimmers (Illinois AC) as the famous swimmer Johnny Weissmuller. In 1988 he was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the international swimming sport.
