Frehley 's Comet was the debut album of the same name published in 1987 U.S. hard rock band.
Classification in the musical background
The lead guitarist Ace Frehley had left the group Kiss, he was a founding member in 1982. In 1984 he had produced on Gene Simmons solo album WOW the Plasmatics singer Wendy O. Williams collaborated and contributed lead guitar parts for the title Bump and Grind. In the same year he founded with drummer Anton Fig, bassist John Regan, guitarist and vocalist Richie Scarlet and keyboardist Arthur Stead, the band Frehley 's Comet to write their own material and publish it. The group performed at the time of its founding until 1985 several demo recordings that were produced, among others, by Eddie Kramer, Tony Bongiovi, Chris Kimsey and Vini Poncia.
Your Autrittsdebüt graduated from the group in November 1984 in the " SIR Sound Studios " in New York. Genesis
The album was recorded in the ' Right Track Studios "and the" Sound Ideas Studios " in New York City as well as in the " Master Sound Studios " ( Astoria, NY) and" Bear Tracks "( Suffern, NY) and was published in 1987. It was produced by Eddie Kramer and Ace Frehley. The cover showed a seemingly flying through space comets, where it was a photo of NASA that was used here. Although it was an album the group was, probably for marketing reasons, the name Ace Frehley placed at the top, so that it looked as if it were Frehley solo album with the title Frehley 's Comet. The logo of the band was shown centered in the lower third of the cover.
On the back cover of a group photo was seen that the photographer Ebet Roberts had taken. The debut album of the band reached on June 20, 1987 No. 43 on the Billboard 200 and stayed 23 weeks in the charts.

Frehley 's Comet was published on 7 July 1987 and reached number 43 on the Billboard 200, the title Rock Soldiers were as singles, released Calling to you and Into the Night; Into the Night was released as a maxi-single.
