Garlipp is a district of the town Bismark ( Altmark) in the district of Stendal, in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

The village Garlipp in the Altmark is located about 18 kilometers west of Stendal in close proximity to the town Bismark ( Altmark). The hilly area around Garlipp belongs to Endmoränenbogen, the north of Secantsgrabens towards Stendal stretches.

History

1188 emerged the place that was created as Rundling than Garlip ( of Slavic origin) for the first time in a document on. The stone church of the village also dates from the 12th century. The organ in the said church is considered as a tourist attraction. It is dated to the year 1687. It was built by a Stendaler, Johann Druch.

Until December 31, 2009 Garlipp was an independent municipality.

Decided that their communities dissolved and a new unified community named town Bismark (Altmark ) were combined. This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.

Attractions
