Badingen is a district of the town Bismark ( Altmark) in the district of Stendal, in Saxony- Anhalt, Germany.

Geography

Badingen located in the Altmark region, about 16 km west of Stendal. The hilly area around Badingen (up to 57 m above sea level. NN ) is drained by the Secantsgraben for clemency.

History

Badingen first appears in 980 in a document.

Until December 31, 2009 Badingen was an independent municipality with the associated district pawl and the living space Neuhof.

That their communities dissolved and a new unified community named town Bismark (Altmark ) were combined. This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 25 July 2005 by the county.

Blazon: " Shared by gold and green, above a running black wolf down a golden cradle. "

The coat of arms symbols are a running wolf and a Cradle. They are based on a legend, after the ( Slavic ) in the Castle Wall at Badingen a golden cradle is buried. Furthermore, historical place names have been taken into account; located on the corridor of Badingen, about 1.25 km north- west of the village on the south side of the trench show the " Wulfhagen meadow " and not far beside the " Wulf Rose ". If one considers that the Margrave of Brandenburg formerly held in this region, among other wolf hunts, is the reference to the wolf, who in the surrounding woods had enough habitat, quite explainable. Wolf and weighing were implemented by the Magdeburg Kommunalheraldiker Jörg Mantzsch according to heraldic stylistics and practice graphically.

By Badingen the highway ( L 30 ) conduct Kläden after Vinzelberg. There buses stop and call buses of the regional transport company West Saxons ( RVW ) stendalbus under the brand name. The nearest railway station is located in the neighboring municipality Kläden ( line Stendal - Salzwedel ).
