Gastón Sauro

Gastón Sauro (born 23 February 1990 in Rosario ) is an Italian- Argentine football player.

Career

Sauro debuted as a professional in the 2008 /09 season with the CA Boca Juniors, where in 15 league missions he scored a goal from 2008 to 2012.

In July 2012, Sauro moved to FC Basel in Switzerland. It was first used there 17 July 2012 in the first leg of the second Champions League qualifying round against Flora Tallinn. His league debut came in a 2-2 away draw against Grasshopper Club on 28 July 2012. His first goal in the Swiss football championship, he scored on 26 September 2012 at the home match at St. Jakob-Park to 4:1 - Final against FC Sion.

At the end of the 2012/13 season Sauro was Swiss champion with FC Basel and was in the final of the Swiss Cup, which they lost in a penalty shoot. In the UEFA Europa League 2012/13 he has moved with FC Basel semi-finals and had there against the reigning UEFA Champions League winners Chelsea take.
