Gerona is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Tarlac on the island of Luzon in the Philippines. It has 83 084 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 44 barangays. It belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines. Your neighboring municipalities are Tarlac City in the south, the municipality of Pura in the East, the community Paniqui in the north and the municipality of Santa Ignacia in the West. It is located about 14.4 km north of Tarlac City and about 139 km north- west of the Philippine capital of Manila and can be reached from there via the Mc Arthur Highway.
