Getafe CF

The Getafe [ xetafe ] ( officially Getafe Club de Fútbol SAD ) is a Spanish football club (sports corporation) from Getafe, a suburb of Madrid. It was founded in 1983.

His first team currently plays in the Primera División. Owners and thus club head is the " Royal Emirates Group of Companies" from Dubai, who bought 100% of shares of the association on 21 April 2011. First-team coach is Cosmin Contra.

Getafe playing very dark blue, all red or all yellow. Home ground is the Estadio Coliseum Alfonso Pérez, which offers 17,000 spectators.

History

1945, the football club Club Deportivo was founded in Getafe Getafe, whose team 1956/57, rose to the third league and it only just missed out on promotion to the second division in the year. Until the 1970s, the club played mediocre, until it was disbanded after a sporty decline in 1976. The link of this club for FC Getafe is more staff than institutionally, that is, there is no predecessor association, but many former Getafe Deportivo Active Club later played at FC Getafe a role.

The predecessor of the club Getafe in 1976, originally a fan club Real Madrid registered under the name Peña Madridista Getafe. Since 1980, the teams competed under the name Deportivo Peña Getafe. After the merger with club Getafe Promesas 1982 finally opened in August 1983, the Getafe CF.

In the season 1986 /87 FC Getafe rose to the third-rate Segunda B. 1993/94 was followed by the first-time promotion to the second division. In August 2011, the FC Getafe launched a controversial campaign. The club produced the film "Zombies Calientes de Getafe " (such as " Hot Zombie brides from Getafe " ) in order to excite his fans to provide more offspring. Outcome of the campaign was an increase in season ticket sales.
