GotÅ, Nagasaki
Gotō (Japanese五 岛 市, -shi) is a city of Nagasaki Prefecture on the Gotō Islands in Japan.
History
Gotō was created on 1 August 2004 from the merger of Shi Fukue (福 江 市, -shi), the Chō Tomie (富 江 町, chō ), Tamanoura (玉 之 浦 町, chō ), Miuraku (三井 楽, -chō ) Kishiku (岐 宿, -chō ) and Naru (奈 留, -chō ) of Minamimatsuura -gun.
Traffic
By Gotō the national road 384 leading airport 3rd class airport Gotō - Fukue is also located in the city.
Events
In Gotō takes place every year the Ironman Japan Triathlon.
