Grégory Saint-Géniès

Grégory Saint-Genies (* May 23, 1977 in Maisons -Alfort ) is a French Skeleton driver.

Grégory Saint-Genies lives in Limeil- Brevannes. He runs Skeleton since 2000 and belongs since 2002 to the French national team. He is coached by Tristan Gale, Philippe Cavoret and Yann Morisseau. His first European Cup skeleton races he contested in November 2000 in Igls ( 31 ). Two years later he made his debut as a 30 in Calgary as part of the Skeleton World Cup. His biggest international success at a major event reached Saint-Genies in the Skeleton Championship 2003, where he was in St. Moritz eighth. The race was also a World Cup race in which he finished 15th and reached its best result in this competition. Shortly thereafter, he took with less success ( 21 ) also in his first skeleton World Cup in Nagano part. The biggest success of the previous career of the French was the victory in the overall standings of the European Cup 2006/07. He was also the first time French champion in 2007, after he finished second and third 've been there several times, but Philippe Cavoret could never defeat. The next major success was winning the overall title of the Skeleton America's Cup of the season 2008 /09. Saint-Genies was the first European who won this race series for themselves.
