Grong

Grong is a municipality in Norway and belongs to Fylke Nord-Trøndelag. Grong extends over an area of 1,136 km ² and has 2467 inhabitants ( as of March 31, 2013). Neighboring municipalities are Høylandet, Lierne, Namsskogan and Snåsa. Grong is located in the inner Namdalen where the Namsen with the side arm Sanddøla flows together and is the center of the region.

Through the community leads the European Route 6, the center is located near the intersection E6 - Rv. 760 Grong has a railway station on the Nordlandsbanen. The nearest airport is around 45 km away.
