Günselsdorf is a market town in Lower Austria in the district of Baden.

Geography

In the market town of 1746 inhabitants ( 1 January 2013 ) on an area of 6.61 km ². The town is located east of Leobersdorf in the Vienna Basin to the trie Sting. History

The place name derives from Guncinesdor and was first mentioned in 1130 in the hall book of Klosterneuburg. The town was settled by the Babenberg in the 11th and 12th centuries. The place repeatedly suffered the incident Hungary and later the Turkish wars.
