György Nébald

György Nébald ( born March 9, 1956 in Budapest) is a Hungarian saber fencer, Olympic gold medalist and six -time world champion.

Life

He is married to the Hungarian epee fencer Ildiko Mincza - Nébald. His brother Rudolf Nébald won at the 1980 Olympic Games along with him the bronze medal.

Achievements

1978 in Hamburg was György Nébald the first time world champion team. At the Olympic Games in 1980 Nébald bronze was with the team. 1981 in Clermont- Ferrand and 1982 in Rome, he was re- team World Champion. At the World Championships in Vienna in 1983 he erfocht with the team silver in 1985 in Barcelona with the team bronze. In addition, he was single world champion. 1987 Nébald won at the World Championships in Lausanne silver in singles. At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul in 1988 Nébald Gold was with the team in individual he reached the fifth place. In 1990 he was again in Lyon individual world champion and got silver in the team. 1991 was his medal camper year, he was in Vienna team European champion and erfocht bronze in singles, further he was in Budapest team world champion and also won bronze in singles. 1992 at the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona Nébald won silver with the team, the individual he occupies the 25th place.
