Geography
Hambrücken is situated in the Upper Rhine plain to the west of Federal Highway 5, 10 km north-northwest of Bruchsal.
Neighboring communities
Neighboring towns of Hambrücken are ( clockwise from the west): the city Waghaeusel, the communities of Bad Schönborn, Ubstadt -Weiher and Forestry and the city of Bruchsal. All belong to the district of Karlsruhe.
History
The place is first mentioned in 1161, it belonged to the knight pin Odenheim. The place name is derived from the Old High German " Hagan " (forest or bush ) and " Brucca " ( bridge or corduroy ) from " Brucca " was also the word "break" ( swamp ), landforms which can still be found in the vicinity of the place can.
