Hannes van Asseldonk

Hannes van Asseldonk ( born January 10, 1992 Boekel ) is a former Dutch racing driver.

Career

Van Asseldonk began his motorsport career in karting in 2007, where he was active until 2009. In 2010 he moved to the Formula racing and entered for Josef Kaufmann Racing in the European Formula BMW. With two third places for best results he finished the season in seventh place in the championship. In addition, van Asseldonk approached for Prema Junior in Formula Abarth. He participated in six of the fourteen races and decided three races for themselves. In the Drivers' Championship, he finished sixth. He had achieved average more points per race as the champion Brandon Maisano. He also completed two guest appearances in the Formula BMW Pacific.

2011 moved van Asseldonk in the German Formula 3 Cup at Van Amersfoort Racing. With five third places for best results he finished the season off in fifth place overall. Against his teammate Richie Stanaway, the master was, he clearly lost the team-internal duel with 61 to 181 points. In addition, van Asseldonk took part in four races of the FIA Formula 3 Trophy 2011. He finished the Macau Grand Prix in fifth place. He also appeared to be two races of the Austrian Formula 3, scoring a victory. Early 2012 was for van Asseldonk Giles Motorsport in the Toyota Racing Series, the highest single-seater series in New Zealand, at the start. He won three races and was a total of eight times on the podium. With 738 to 914 points, he finally defeated his teammate Nick Cassidy and was runner-up. He subsequently joined Fortec Motorsport in the British Formula 3 Championship and played the entire season in 2012. With a second place as best result he was ninth overall. In addition, he took part in the Formula 3 Masters and finished it in third place.
