Harold Whitlock

Harold Whitlock ( Hector Harold Whitlock, born December 16, 1903 in Hendon, Middlesex, † 27 December 1985 Wicklewood, Norfolk ) was a British skiers and Olympic champion.

At the Olympic Games in 1936 Whitlock won the competition in the 50- km Walk in 4:30:41,4 h before the Swiss Arthur Tell Schwab ( 4:32:09,2 h). 16 years later at the 1952 Olympics started Whitlock again and was 48 years in 4:45:12,6 h eleventh. With his time from 1936 he would nevertheless still won bronze here.

At the European Championships in 1938 Whitlock won in 4:41:51 the title with two minutes ahead of the Germans Herbert Dill.
