The sky striker is a comedy film directed by Michael Dinner from the year 1985.
Action
Michael Dunn is sent mid -1960s, based in Brooklyn St. Basil 's Catholic Boys School. There he gets to the strict, sometimes sadistic monks. Dunn and his fellow students fight back against the abuse.
It is organized a dance before the Father Abruzzi holds a sermon against lust. Michael and the entrepreneur Danni daughter fall in love.
Reviews
Roger Ebert (Chicago Sun-Times, February 11, 1985) compared the movie " Stalag 17 ". The film did not intend seriously to show the Catholic schools. On some " inspired" scenes disappointment would follow. Ebert praised the storyline of romance by Michael and Danni as well as the character of Caesar.
Janet Maslin (The New York Times, February 8, 1985) wrote that the director and the screenwriter had a feel for the time, place, and for the characters. The end was " unnecessary ". Some actors like Donald Sutherland and Andrew McCarthy were " remarkable ".
