Hegang
Hegang (鹤岗 市) is a prefecture -level city in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, with around 1.11 million inhabitants ( end of 2004; census in 2000: 1,099,079 ). It has an area of 14,784 km ² ( population density. 75.08 inhab / km ²).
Administrative Divisions
At county level sets Hegang composed of six districts and two counties. These are:
- Municipality Xingshan ( Xingshan Qū兴 山区), 27 km ², 50,000 inhabitants;
- City District Xiangyang ( Xiàngyáng Qū向阳 区), 8.2 km ², 100,000 inhabitants (2004);
- Municipality Gongnong ( Gongnong Qū工农 区), 11 km ², 170,000 inhabitants;
- City Nanshan District ( Nanshan Qū南山 区), 30 km ², 130,000 inhabitants;
- Municipality Xing'an ( Xing'an Qū兴安 区), 27 km ², 150,000 inhabitants; and
- City Dongshan District ( Dongshan Qū东山 区), 4575 km ², 90,000 inhabitants;
- Circle Luobei ( Luobei Xiàn萝北 县), 6761 km ², 230,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Fengxiang (凤翔 镇); and
- Circle Suibin ( Suibin Xiàn绥滨县), 3344 km ², 190,000 inhabitants, capital: greater community Suibin (绥 滨 镇).
