Hlavatce (České Budějovice District)

Hlavatce ( German Hlawatetz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located five kilometers north-east of Netolice and belongs to České Budějovice.

Geography

Hlavatce is located on the right side of the creek Soudný creek in the Zbudovská Blata, a part of the Budweiser pool. To the north- east are the ponds Hlvatatecký rybnik and Dvorsky fishpond, fishpond southeast of Volešek and Vlhavský. To the east rises the Odměny (419 m) ​​, in the southeast of the Na hůrkách (419 m) ​​and south of the Na Štuntpíru (443 m).

Neighboring towns are Lékařova Lhota, Nová Hospoda and Novosedly in the north, Sedlecký Dvůr in the northeast, Sedlec, Plástovice and Pasica in the east, Pištín and Vlhlavy the southeast, Němčice and Mahouš in the south, Triumf, Olšovice and Třetina the southwest, Hláska and Podeřiště in the West and Rabin and Malovice in the northwest.

History

Archaeological finds, ranging from the Mesolithic, Middle Bronze Age, Hallstatt and La Tène period until the early Middle Ages, occupy a prehistoric settlement in the municipal area. Furthermore, let ceramic finds in the hallway Hláska suspect there until the 15th century, a later extinguished village was located during the 13th.

The first written mention of the castle belonging to Poděhusy village took place in 1379 in Rosenberger land register. 1421 burned the Hussites led by Jan Zizka, the castle down. Wok von Rosenberg sold in 1481 the desert castle with all the accessories to Peter Kořenský of Terešov. Later the village was connected to the rule Libiegowitz. In 1835 Hlawatetz consisted of 42 houses with 279 Czech-speaking inhabitants. In the village there was a tavern. Parish and school location was Nettolitz. Until the mid-19th century Hlawatetz stayed at the Prince Schwarzenberg associated Allodialherrschaft Libiegowitz submissive.

After the abolition of patrimonial Hlavatec / Hlawatetz formed in 1850 a municipality in the district team Prachatice / Prachatitz. Since the end of the 19th century, the Czech place name Hlavatce is used. On January 6, 1909, the volunteer fire department founded. In 1910 Hlavatce / Hlawatetz had 244 Czech -speaking inhabitants and was the parish and enrolled after Sedlec / Selz. After the Munich Agreement and the resulting separation of the district Prachatitz Hlavatce remained in 1938 at the " Resttschechei " and was added to the District Pisek. 1943, the annexation to Selz. This was lifted after the end of World War II in 1945 and initially reallocated to the community the Okres Prachatice. 1948 Hlavatce became part of the newly formed Okres Vodňany, which was canceled in 1960. In this course Hlavatce was again incorporated with the beginning of 1961 after Sedlec and at the same time added to the České Budějovice. After a referendum Hlavatce broke on November 24 again in 1990 and since then has been going from Sedlec own community.
