Hofstra University
The Hofstra University is a private University in Hempstead in Nassau County (Long Iceland ) in the U.S. state of New York. Currently here are enrolled 13,000 students.
History
The Hofstra University was founded in 1935 on the site of William Hofstra and his widow Kate Williams Hofstra, a wealthy timber merchant. First, they started as College of New York University and was a few years later independently. It was given its present name in 1963.
